ABC News has reported on Monday that legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta died at the age of 82. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.
The designer was known for creating elaborate, feminine gowns that were often worn by first ladies and celebrities. Most recently, de la Renta collaborated with Amal Clooney on her wedding gown, which was accompanied by a spread in the November issue of Vogue.
Last week, the fashion house announced that it had named Peter announced it had named Peter Copping creative director.
