Cliff and I had the pleasure and honor of interviewing leading gun control advocate Shannon Watts, the head of Moms Demand Action, about the upcoming March for Our Lives anti-gun rally (taking place this Saturday, March 23, in communities across America), and more generally the state of the gun control movement.
Shannon is brilliant, amazing and inspiring. One of the things I most enjoyed about talking to Shannon is her positivity. I never fully appreciated how many successes the gun safety/gun control movement has had in the past several years, and Shannon set me straight. It’s a great and hopeful interview. I think you’ll really enjoy it, and learn a few things about gun politics along the way.
In addition to specific topical issues like reciprocity, concealed carry, and whether the NRA is really 10 feet tall (spoiler alert: Shannon says they’re not), we also talk a good deal about the upcoming March for Our Lives, taking place around the US on Saturday, March 24th.
