Brian Stetler at CNN is reporting that Fox News host and author Gretchen Carlson is filing a sexual harassment and retaliation suit against Fox Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.
Carlson herself confirmed the story via Twitter:

Stetler has a copy of the complaint:
I’m reading the Gretchen Carlson complaint now. It says “Carlson rebuffed Ailes’ sexual demands… and, nine months later, ended her career.”
It’s interesting that Carlson went public. That says to me that she may have tried to settle this privately, and Fox balked. Thus the need to go public.
Judd Legum at ThinkProgress has the complaint as well:

An older HuffPo story from 2013 becomes far more interesting in this context. Carlson had claimed that women were not permitted to wear pants on the Fox set:
“Nobody’s going to recognize me because not only am I dressed casually, I have on pants! Now, pants were not allowed on ‘Fox & Friends,’ remember?”
