At least 52 people, including children and security personnel, were killed and 200 others injured in a suicide attack at Wagah, Pakistan on Sunday.

# Geo TV reported that 48 people have been killed while nearly 70 others have been injured in the explosion. It is feared that the death toll could rise.

# Punjab Police Inspector General Mushtaq Sukhera said the suicide attacker approached the gate as the crowd was vacating the parade area where the flag ceremony is held, Pakistani Rangers have cordoned off the blast site. AP quoted Sukhera as saying that the bomb exploded outside a restaurant near a Pakistani paramilitary soldiers' checkpoint at the border. He says the death toll is likely to rise because over 70 people are wounded, with several in critical condition.
#Up to five kilogrammes of explosive material was used in the blast.
# 'We had reports that some banned outfits might target Shias, religious personalities, public processions and important buildings', says IG Mushtaq Sukhera.

# TV footage showed shops and nearby buildings destroyed at the site of the blast. Security and rescue personnel have rushed to the spot while the injured have been taken to hospital. Emergency has been declared at all hospitals in Lahore.
# According to Express News, the al-Qaeda affiliated group Jandullah has claimed responsibility for the attack.

# A doctor at Ghurki Hospital near the Wagah border crossing claimed to have received 35 bodies and about 60 wounded, Dawn.com reported.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called for a report on the incident.
