After seeing Derek Jeter and Joe Torre take part in the ice bucket challenge, it was only inevitable that disgraced Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez would come out of hiding to get doused himself.
Rodriguez, serving a 162-game suspension for using PEDs in the Biogenesis scandal, has been quiet and keeping a low profile - for now.
Rodriguez, dressed in a white Miami Hurricanes t-shirt and green shorts, took the challenge for ALS research on Wednesday in the Hurricanes dugout.
Post by Alex Rodriguez.
Rodriguez starts the video, posted on his Facebook account, by accepting the challenge and then nominating Miami president Donna Shalala, MLB analyst Harold Reynolds, Mariano Rivera, former teammate and current Seattle Mariner Robinson Can, and 24-hour fitness founder Mark Mastrov.
As soon as he finishes the nomination, he is doused from above and scurries off to the other end of the dugout.
