An American woman was stabbed to death in the capital's Reem Island on Monday.
According to witnesses, a fight broke out in a women's rest-room in the Boutique Mall before the suspect stabbed the woman.
Witnesses have also revealed that the attacker was fully covered and wearing an abaya, shaila (head scarf) and niqab (face cover).
Police are investigating to find out further details about the suspect such as the gender and identity.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon.

She was stabbed using a sharp object which police found at the crime scene.
Motive unknownHowever, the cause of the fight and motive of the crime remain unknown.
The Community Police have also begun to care for the victim's 11-year-old twins, providing them with shelter and other needs while their divorced father arrives from outside the country.
He will be received by authorities at the airport.
