Donald Trump is a pig.
This morning, true to form, like a dementia patient with a perpetual case of reverse Sundowner’s, Trump launched a vicious and misogynist Twitter attack on “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski.
Trump called Mika “low IQ” and “crazy,” and then graced us with an updated version of his disgusting “blood” attack that he used last year against Megyn Kelly. 
CNN found photos of Brzezinski speaking with Trump at the New Year’s Eve event, and it goes without saying that there were no bandages and there was no bleeding. Yes, Trump lied again.
Trump’s misogynistic comments about Brzezinski are hardly happening in a vacuum.
You’ll recall that last year Trump attacked then- Fox News journalist Megyn Kelly, for her performance hosting one of the GOP debates, by talking about Kelly’s menstrual period:
“She gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions. You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever. In my opinion, she was off base.”
And who can forget the “Access Hollywood” tape where Trump claimed to enjoy sexually assaulting women?
And just yesterday, Trump appeared to flirt with an Irish reporter, who later called Trump’s actions “bizarre.”
For her part, Melania Trump, who had earlier claimed she was going to devote her First Lady tenure to combat cyber-bullying, today defended her husband’s cyber-misogyny:
“As the First Lady has stated publicly in the past, when her husband gets attacked, he will punch back 10 times harder.”
It’s unclear if Melania was blinking in code while the statement was being made.
Melania, you’ll recall, defended neo-Nazis harassing a Jewish journalist last year, claiming that the reporter “provoked” the Nazis by writing a profile of Mrs. Trump.
So, take Mrs. Trump’s morale admonitions with a hefty grain of salt.
Interestingly, just two weeks ago, First Daughter Ivanka Trump lamented the “viciousness” of Washington, DC. Perhaps Ivanka was simply referring to her own family.
