Nothing is a better window into Donald Trump’s soul than this short clip of him meeting former Republican presidential candidate, and former Senate Majority Leader, Bob Dole.
Trump sees Dole, in a wheelchair, walks over, gives a cursory greeting and immediately walks away. Trump’s visit was perhaps 1.5 seconds long.
Obama sees them, and spends around 15 seconds talking to each of them, then leans over and kisses Dole’s wife, Elizabeth (“Liddy”).
Keep in mind, Dole is a Republican. Obama is a Democrat. Yet Obama greeted him warmly, kindly. Trump just blew him off — after all, how can Dole, clearly infirm, help the Donald.
Sometimes it’s not about what people can do for you.
