President Obama celebrates his 52nd birthday on Sunday, surrounded by family and friends at Camp David.
It's not a totally relaxing day -- the presidency is receiving updates on reported threats that led the State Department to issue a global travel alert and to close 21 embassies and consulates across the Muslim world.
The president was born on Aug. 4, 1961.
Obama began his birthday weekend Saturday with a larger-than-usual golf game, featuring three groups of four that included long-time friends from Hawaii and Chicago, as well as some White House aides.
Winners got to ride the presidential chopper with Obama up to Camp David on Saturday afternoon; losers had to to take vans.
Obama is scheduled to return to the White House on Sunday afternoon.
