USADaily -
In case anyone thought Donald Trump wasn’t serious when he threatened to drag his campaign into the gutter these final four weeks, Rudy Giuliani dispelled all of that last night when he talked to MSNBC’s Chris Matthews about “sem#n.”
(Sorry, I have to use the asterisk or the advertising on this page dies.)
Donald Trump did terribly in the first presidential debate, and possibly even worse in the aftermath. Trump spent a good week after the debate attacking a former Miss Universe, urging his 10 million Twitter followers to look at her “sex tape” (the woman, Alicia Machado, has no sex tape; though Trump has appeared in a number of adult films). Trump’s position in the polls plunged accordingly.
Then, this past Friday, we learned of the now-infamous “grab her p*ssy” video in which Donald Trump bragged about his strategies for sexually assaulting women, including forcing them to kiss him, and “grabbing their p*ssy,” without their permission.
In response to the video, Trump issued a tepid written statement, followed by a purported “apology” video that spent half of its time attacking Bill and Hillary Clinton. In the video, Trump did not appear remorseful — rather, he was angry. That became more clear as the weekend went on, as Trump’s surrogates increasingly talked about Bill Clinton’s sex scandals while in office two decades ago. As many noted, Trump wants voters to ignore his sex scandal of ten years ago, while focusing on Bill Clinton’s of 20. (Putting aside for a moment that Bill isn’t on the ballot.)
Then, the icing on the cake was Trump’s decision yesterday to hold a press conference with three women who have made sexual claims against Bill Clinton. Trump then attempted to put them in his family box at the debate, where they would walk up to Bill Clinton and attempt to shake his hand on camera. The Republican debate chairman refused to permit it, and told Trump’s campaign that he would have the women removed by security if he attempted the stunt.
Which brings us all to Rudy Giuliani’s sem#n.
Donald Trump has finally come into his own. He is no longer being handled by staff. And most certainly no longer taking advice from his latest campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, who, oh so many weeks ago, managed to tie Trump down to a teleprompter for nearly four weeks (in which Trump’s polling improved markedly). Trump is now his own man, and that man is a childish, boorish, insecure, bullying pig.
Moments ago, Republican US House Speaker Paul Ryan told House members that he would no longer defend Donald Trump, or campaign with Trump, and will instead spend the next 29 days until the election attempting to defend his majority in the US House. It was suggested that they spend the next month doing the same.
Like Voldemort fading into dust after Neville slayed Nagini, Trump hemorrhaged far too much support this weekend to ever successfully come back. All Trump has left is Rudy Giuliani and sem#n.
