Donald Trump released a video, shortly after midnight Friday night, apologizing for being caught on camera acknowledging that he likes to sexually assault women.
The video, which had the production quality of Wayne’s World, was otherwise classic Trump.
First Trump apologized for what he said in the video, then he claimed the entire thing was a “distraction” and that Bill and Hillary are far worse.
Trump’s “defiant tone,” as CNN’s Brian Stelter called it, made clear that the GOP candidate thinks he’s the victim in all of this. Even the way Trump apologized, saying that he was sorry for what he said in the video, but making no mention of being sorry for what he did, or at least alleged that he did: sexually assaulting women.
Apologizing for the words but not the acts sounds like you’re sorry for being caught.
Also troubling is the fact that Trump mentioned Monica and Bill Clinton’s other affairs. That’s further evidence that Trump is not remorseful, he’s pissed. And he’s going to take out his revenge on Hillary, by discussing Bill’s affairs. It’s just one more sign that Trump doesn’t get it, and he’s not sorry about anything.
Here is a snippet of the video of Trump admitting he sexually assaults women — it’s definitely not for the workplace:
