Newly-sworn in Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, while addressing State Department employees this morning for the first time, made a joke seemingly at Donald Trump’s expense.
Tillerson explained that he was late to the staff event because “people felt the need to pray a little longer” this year.
Tilleron’s joke seemed to be about people freaking out over Donald Trump’s presidency — something Trump will be none too happy with.

And here’s what Tillerson said:
“We apologize for being late, it seems that this year’s Prayer Breakfast people felt the need to pray a little longer.”
It’s hard not to take that as a joke about Trump. And while it’s a good one, Trump is notoriously thin-skinned. This will not go over well.
