White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos today that Donald Trump canceled his appearance at the upcoming White House Correspondents Dinner because he’s upset with the media.
Specifically, Huckabee suggested that the media “egged the White House.”
It’s interesting that the White House would admit that Trump canceled his attendance at the event based on personal pique. We all knew that was the case, but for him to admit it is interesting. In part, because it’s one more sign that the pressures of being president are starting to get to Trump. If he thinks the media is the worst challenge he faces, well… ISIS and Putin won’t give Trump a time out every time he throws a tantrum.
